GOOMBA MUSIC SIGNS BEYOND THRESHOLD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TURKEY VULTURE RECORDS!!!
CHICAGO, IL – GOOMBA MUSIC is proud to announce the signing of the metal powerhouse BEYOND THRESHOLD! The band’s sophomore album entitled “WHO WE ARE” is scheduled for an October 2012 release with GOOMBA MUSIC in partnership with TURKEY VULTURE RECORDS.
This album marks the follow-up to their highly successful debut “Revolution” which was released in 2010. “Who We Are” will feature some of the band’s finest material and production to date! “WHO WE ARE” will be available worldwide in North America, Europe, South America, Japan, Australia, China, RSK (UK), Korea, and Russia through eOne Distribution.
“WHO WE ARE” was recorded at TVR Studios in Rockford, Illinois and produced by Jason Z. “The new album “Who We Are” definitely captures Beyond Threshold’s energy and is a soon-to-be classic in the metal and hard rock world!!” explains BEYOND THRESHOLD producer Jason Z.
The album is Aggressive, Powerful, Versatile, Intense, Unique – all distinguishing traits that have come to symbolize the fundamentals of metal/hardcore/rock revolutionaries BEYOND THRESHOLD.
Tim King (SOiL bassist and Director of A&R at Goomba Music) had extended the opportunity to BEYOND THRESHOLD after witnessing the rapid growth and dominance the band has achieved on recent SOiL/ BEYOND THRESHOLD tour runs. Tim King states, “When I heard the completed version of “Who We Are” I knew I had to team up with them to release it on Goomba Music.”

CD Review: Broken-Darkness Falls(2012)
I have been given the pleasure of reviewing albums now for Turkey Vulture Records
Hailing from the N.W. Suburbs of Chicago & Belvidere, IL and consisting of four members. BROKEN's hard hitting sound is a hybrid mix of modern metal and hard rock twists blended seamlessly with old school roots from where metal and thrash began. This unique mix of sounds, catchy melodies, musical hooks, and strong vocals creates a thick sound that is truly their own. BROKEN signed with Turkey Vulture Records in May of 2011 and released a new full length cd titled "DARKNESS FALLS" on January 10, 2012.
This is an raw sounding, impressive band with some good riffs and tempo for a new band they sound quite good.
But as we know a band that is considered new has always been around for a few years that's how they get signed.
I like their sound as they sound like they were recorded in someone's garage on allot of the tracks and that is what Metallica sounded like when they first started as well. There is just some rawness about this record that allot of studios frown upon and try to clean it up when the tracks are layed, but not here. That has made me happy.
Some good sounds all around.
